Tug Gettling has been
teaching defensive tactics, officer protection, and arrest control tactics to law enforcement agencies across the nation. He has taught military
combatives, unarmed warfare & enemy engagement, and hand-to-hand combat to special operatives and elite military agencies including members
of the United States Marine Corp. and the US Navy SEALs. He has been involved in teaching public protection for over 25 years. He is a former
wrestling coach for Brigham Young University, a current member of the Utah County Safe Kids Coalition, and a graduate of BYU with a degree in
Public Health. He is a former head coach of GrappleSport, previous Jiu-jitsu instructor for UVSC, past United States Olympic Trials Tae Kwon Do
coach, and currently teaches tactical threat response to law enforcement agencies throughout Utah. He holds black belt ranks in several martial
arts, is certified in tactical baton, retired undefeated as a full-contact kickboxer, and is considered by professionals in the field to be a
submission grappling and hand to hand combat expert.
